A Beechcraft King Air was departing Long Beach, CA (LGB) yesterday when it was involved in a fiery crash as the pilot circled back to the runway to land after identifying a problem. Five people, who friends say were headed to Park City, UT, were killed in the crash. A sixth person on board survived. The passengers were longtime friends who worked in the real estate business together. Our hearts go out to the victims' families. It's always sad to see things like this happen in private aviation.
